2017 Skills in the States Forum

National Skills Coalition hosted the 2017 Skills in the States Forum for Policy, Advocacy, and Impact at the Sheraton Music City in Nashville, Tennessee On October 3-4, 2017.

The forum convened workforce advocates, researchers, and practitioners working to shape their state’s skills policies. The Forum featured numerous peer-led discussions on topics like apprenticeship and work-based learning, using workforce development to advance equity, and upskilling for adult learners and workers with limited skills.

The Skills in the States Forum was made possible through the generous financial support of JPMorgan Chase, Lumina Foundation, The JPB Foundation, W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and Walmart.

Steering Committee:

The 2017 Skills in the States Forum was developed with guidance from six workforce development leaders in National Skills Coalition’s state network.
