A recent USA Today op-ed on how the pandemic changed how people think about work mentions Center for the Future of Arizona’s Holly Kurtz’ participation in National Skills Coalition and Business Leaders’ Retail and Hospitality Industry Recovery Panel and highlights some of the recommendations that the panel has for the Biden administration, including:  

  • Federal investments in workforce training 
  • Including digital upskilling and increased apprenticeship and work-based learning opportunities 
  • Expanding tax credits for businesses offering employee training, funding basic academic education for workers seeking a new career
