Phyllis is President of The Eisen Group, advising a range of profit and nonprofit organizations on education and workforce development practice and policy. She recently served as Senior Advisor for the development and launch of the National Partnership for Business Champions, a nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging the business voice for a skilled workforce.
For over twenty years, Phyllis was an executive with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) acting as Executive Director and Founder of the Center for Workforce Success, the education and workforce affiliate of NAM. Phyllis established NAM’s highly respected Skills Gap series, which examined workforce challenges in a changing, global economy. Phyllis previously served as consultant to the Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Association of America and Mack Trucks, and as Vice President and Co-Founder of the National Immigration Forum.
For over a decade, she taught high school social studies and special education in the public school system in Maryland and Washington, DC.
