National Skills Coalition works toward a vision of an America that grows its economy by investing in its people so that every worker and every industry has the skills to compete and prosper. We advocate for:

Every worker.  We work to ensure that all of America’s workers can obtain the 21st-century skills necessary to secure a good job that can support a family and bring value to one’s local economy.

Every industry.  We work to ensure that America’s industries have access to the skilled workers that are the backbone of their operations and are critical to their ability to compete and grow.

A strong economy.  We believe that our nation’s public investments in the skills and education of its people must step up and align with the growing demands of our 21st-century economy.

National Skills Coalition engages in organizing and advocacy to advance policy solutions that address these issues at the state and federal level. In addition, we lead the national Skills2Compete campaign, which has brought together diverse partners from across the country to raise greater public awareness about these issues, so we might rally broad-based support for these policy solutions.
