NSC to co-sponsor track at NCLR forum.
The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) and National Skills Coalition are partnering to provide a track on “Local, State, and Federal Policy Solutions” as part of NCLR’s Workforce Development Forum in Chicago on October 11-12, 2011. Workshops in this track will showcase creative policy solutions addressing workforce system fragmentation, improving employer engagement, and closing gaps in services for Latino workers.
Other conference tracks will include:
- Sector Partnerships for Good Jobs, offered in partnership with the National Network of Sector Partners;
- Strategies to Support Post-Secondary Education, offered in partnership with NCLR Affiliates and Aspen Institute;
- Youth Workforce Development, offered in partnership with National Youth Employment Coalition; and
- Strategic Partnerships, offered in partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges and the National Association of Workforce Boards.
NCLR is currently accepting workshop proposals for all tracks, as well as proposals for workshops relating to effective employer engagement practices; creative and innovative fundraising ideas and tools; and the role of philanthropy in funding innovative ideas and replicating best practices.
