Senior Communications Associate

Michelle helps craft and communicate National Skills Coalition’s policy and political messages to organizational members, the broader field of workforce development stakeholders, the press and the public. She manages NSC’s online communications efforts, press activities, and helps develop and implement specific communications initiatives that insert workforce issues into popular and political discussions. Michelle joined National Skills Coalition in 2008.  

Michelle was previously a policy associate for the National Transitional Jobs Network, where her work included website management, e-communications, and action alerts; supporting the organizing and marketing of the Network's annual conference; and shaping the Network's advocacy messages.

Michelle has a master’s degree in social administration from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in history and international relations from American University. She is based in Washington, DC.
